September 3 • First Friday "The Year of Small Towns & Downtowns"
Downtown Gadsden celebrates "The Year of Small Towns & Downtowns" with a
homecoming celebration at the September 3rd First Friday. Join us as we welcome
Alabama native and author, Rick Bragg as we celebrate his book, "The Prince of
Frogtown," this year's feature novel for the Gadsden Reads program. Gadsden will
be adorned with decorated frogs on over 90 street poles to celebrate the
author's book. Also enjoy great food, live entertainment, see classic cars as
they line the streets & don't forgot to SLOB - Shop Locally Owned Businesses
while you're in Downtown Gadsden. Merchants and restaurants will be open late
with specials and sales. We hope to see you here as we celebrate "The Great

September 3 • Summer Concert Series
at the Mort Glosser Amphitheater located at 90 Walnut Street, show will be immediately following First Friday. Bring your cushions and coolers to the Mort Glosser Amphitheater for a FREE concert from 9:00-11:00pm featuring "Margarita Beach!"
